A Etiópia está a bombardear alvos na Somália

Ethiopian fighter jets have bombed two Islamist-held airports in Somalia, one day after Ethiopia formally declared war on the country's powerful Union of Islamic Courts. One fighter jet struck Moghadishu's International airport with machine-gun fire, while three jets attacked Somalia' biggest military airport Baledogle, about 100 kilometers west of Mogadishu. The weak interim government based in Baidoa said it was closing all of Somalia's land, sea and air borders. Military experts estimate Ethiopia may have between 15,000-20,000 troops in Somalia. Its major rival, Eritrea, is believed to have about troops 2,000 supporting the Islamists who control most of Somalia. The European Union has demanded an immediate end to the fighting.
