DUBAI, 10th August 2014 (WAM) --- Former President of Guinea-Bissau, Manuel Serifo Nhamadjo, and officials of Dubai-based Dar Al Ber Society, have discussed aspects of charity cooperation as well as the charity's possible implementation of charity and development projects in the West African country.
President Nhamadjo talks with Chairman of Dar Al Ber Society, Khalfan Khalifa Al Mazrouie, took place during his recent visit to U.A.E. He was accompanied by a high-profile Guinea-Bissau delegation.
Al Mazrouie received President Nhamadjo and the accompanying VIPs in the presence of the Dar Al Ber Society officials Saeed Khalifa Al Shaali, Deputy Executive Director, and Abdelazim Mohammed, Director of Technical Office.
These projects under discussion include the construction of schools, mosques and Quran study centers. Other projects such as digging water wells, providing support for projects for producer families, orphans and education were also proposed.
Mr. Nhamadjo paid a tribute to the salient role of Dar Al Ber Society in charity and relief work as part of the philanthropic and humanitarian activities undertaken by U.A.E.
For his part, Al Mazrouie gifted President Nhamadjo a copy of the Holy Quran in appreciation of his visit which represented an opportunity for the implementation of possible development projects by Dar Al Ber Society for the benift of Muslims in Guinea-Bissau in coordination with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD).
"The Dar Al Ber Society is strategically dedicated to undertaking and expanding charity and development projects in unprivileged parts of the world and working with philanthropists in order to boost solidarity and fraternal bonds in line with the teachings of Islam and in pursuance of U.A.E.'s national vision for relief work," said Mr. Al Mazrouie.
